NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Western Union has inducted the National Champ scholarship. The winner of the 2008 State Farm South Asian Spelling Bee will be referred to as the Champ and will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship by Western Union. To win, the champ will have to out-spell his 15 other opponents on the day of the Finals. REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Makemytrip.com has inducted Regional level Scholarships for the contest. These scholarships will be awarded as follows in each regional center: Regional champ: $500 1st Runner Up: $300 2nd Runner Up: $200
